Bravostar Systems Inc. (“Avila,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Avila platform at www.avila.aero. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you access or use our services.
Avila is built for aviation operators, brokers, and flight departments. You may use Avila on behalf of an organization. When you do, your organization controls much of the operational data stored in the platform.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Avila, we may collect:
- Account and profile information — name, email address, phone number, role, and organization affiliation.
- Organization and operational data — trips, legs, crew assignments, aircraft, quotes, documents, passengers, and related records you or your team enter into the platform.
- Communications — messages sent through Avila, support requests, and notification delivery metadata (email/SMS).
- Usage and device data — log files, IP address, browser type, pages viewed, feature usage, and diagnostic information.
- Payment and billing information — processed by our payment providers; we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
- Integrations — data received from connected services you authorize, such as email, calendar, or identity providers.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Avila platform.
- Authenticate users, enforce access controls, and protect account security.
- Send service-related communications, including tripsheets, alerts, and account notices.
- Support customer service, troubleshooting, and product development.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us operate Avila (hosting, email, SMS, analytics, payment processing, and support tools), subject to contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, in connection with a merger or acquisition, or with your organization's direction when you use Avila as a team product.
SMS/Text Messaging
Avila, operated by BravoStar Systems Inc., offers an SMS notification program (“Avila Account & Trip Notifications”) that sends transactional text messages to registered users who opt in, including trip status updates, schedule changes, booking confirmations, document requests, and account alerts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
When you opt in, we collect your mobile phone number and your consent record (date, time, and method of opt-in). We use this information solely to deliver the notifications you have requested and to maintain a record of your consent.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be sold, rented, or shared with any third parties. We may share your mobile number with service providers acting on our behalf solely to deliver messages and provide customer support (for example, our SMS delivery provider), and those providers are contractually prohibited from using it for any other purpose.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact support@avila.aero. Opting out of SMS notifications does not affect your Avila account or any other communications you have elected to receive.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Organization administrators may request deletion or export of certain data subject to applicable law and contractual terms.
Security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal information, or to object to processing and request portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@avila.aero.
You may opt out of non-essential marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in those messages. Service and security notices may still be sent when necessary to operate your account.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, understand usage, and improve performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect platform functionality.
International Users
Avila is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the U.S., you understand that information may be processed and stored in the U.S. or other countries where we or our providers operate.
Children
Avila is a business platform not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the platform or by email where appropriate.
